A note from the director, Valeria Hernández:
“The arts, and theater in particular, hold a sacred space for expression, connection, and community for queer and allied folk. Your voice is vital—embrace it as a tool to challenge prejudice and fight against discrimination. In these times, it’s crucial that we unite against hate and refuse to be silenced. Make your voice heard and VOTE for the change you wish to see.”
Creative Team

Jodi Antenor (she/her/hers) (Actor, "Anomaly," "We're a Couple") is an actress and playwright with more than 16 years of experience in the entertainment industry. At the age of 18, she moved to Florida and was immediately welcomed with three back to back hurricanes. Ever the optimist, she stayed in Florida where she went on to perform in a multitude of different shows and parades at several different theme parks including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and the Nickelodeon Hotel. As an Artistic Associate, performer, and playwright with Whiskey Theater Factory, Jodi hopes to create a community where artists feel welcomed, confident, and free to explore their creativity. In her free time, Jodi loves to play softball and travel to new destinations.

John Bavoso (he/him) (Playwright: "The Morning After the Fall") is a Washington, DC-based playwright, marketer, and aspiring wrangler of unicorns. He mostly writes plays about women and queer people who are awkwardly attempting (and generally failing) to engage with serious subject matter using only dry wit and impeccably timed combative taunts. John's plays have been produced and/or developed in 30 states around the country as well as Canada, Japan, South Korea, India, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, England, and Scotland. For more information, please visit John-Bavoso.com.

Bethany Dickens Assaf (Show Producer; Actor: "Anomaly," "Just to B," "Going In"; Playwright: "Anomaly") is a founding member Whiskey Theatre Factory. As a playwright, over 100 of her plays have been developed and produced across the country, including "The Vast of Darkness," which won the Critics' Choice for Best Play-Drama at the Orlando Fringe Festival in 2023. In her spare time, she is mom to a wonderful 18-month-old and a border collie named Apollo.

Ruby Dickerson (Assistant Director, Stage Manager) is honored to be a part of the 2024/2025 collective for Whiskey Theatre Factory! She began with the company in August as an actor with the production of “What’s in the Basement Honey? Seven Short Plays on Marriage, Feminism, and Zombies”, and has since been seen in “Night on Zoom: A Night of Short Plays Set in the Virtual World”, and most recently in WTF’s 2024 Orlando Fringe show, “The Saints of West Orange County”. Her adoration for theatre started at a young age, and as time continued she worked to grow in her craft. She’s challenging herself while reemerging back into theatre, with more on the "behind the scenes” as an assistant director and social media marketing manager with Project No. 19 Performance Company. Outside of the theatre Ruby is a passionate stay at home parent, who lives to inspire other parents to chase after their spark, and wants to remind everyone that their passions are worth making time for.

Ian Gray (Actor: "Just to B" and "We're a Couple") is a local Orlando actor, who was last seen in Phaedra as Hippolytus at the Breakthrough Original Play Festival. Other than theatre, Ian also enjoys Improv and time with his cat, Sophie. Ian would like to thank his friends and family for their continued support.

Valeria Hernández (Show Director) is elated to be directing another Whiskey Theatre Factory production, alongside a brilliant and dedicated cast and crew! Val’s recent directorial endeavors include The Saints of West Orange County at the Orlando Fringe Festival (2024) and Still on Zoom: Virtual Night of Plays - Asopao (2023). This project is especially close to her heart, celebrating the stories of queer, bisexual, and polyamorous individuals whose lived experiences are often overlooked or stigmatized.

Weston Allen Kemp (Actor, "The Morning After the Fall" and "We're a Couple") is a New York City based actor and graduate of the prestigious Circle In The Square Theatre School. Weston will be portraying Christopher in “The Sound Inside” with The Off-Central Players in St Pete on Nov 7-17th. He was previously seen in Whiskey Theatre Factory’s “Combined” playing William. Other Florida credits include Ty in “Sordid Lives” at The Dr. Phillips Center, Brick in “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof”, Black Stache in “Peter and The Starcatcher”, and as the title role of “Young Dr. Jekyll” at Winter Park Playhouse as part of the Florida Festival of New Musicals.

Sandi Linn (Actor: "Going In") was an original member of a touring children’s theater troupe that began in California and relocated to New York decades ago. In New York she appeared off off Broadway in Curse of the Zombie; on the cabaret circuit at Don’t Tell Mama, the Duplex, Westend Cafe, and others. She also walked out of elevators, was a nurse, and pushed baby strollers in several soap operas. Sandi just recently returned to the stage at Orlando Fringe with her one woman show, Bugged Lady, which was named a “Best of the Fest” critic’s choice in 2022 and 23. In 2024 at Orlando Fringe she and her husband Alan performed Clark Levi, Your Parents are not Brain Surgeons, the true story of their son’s brush with death. Sandi has enjoyed performing in Play in a Day for two years, and is thrilled to be working with Whiskey TheatreFactory. She hopes to return to Fringe in 2025 with Bugged Lady 2: Venomous Revenge.

After living in Europe for a decade, John now resides in Atlanta and collaborates with theater companies worldwide, both virtually and in-person. She spent over a year in a non-denominational monastery before writing and producing over 100 guided meditations for the Lumosity app. Her full length stage play, This Too Could Be Love, has been a semi-finalist in three nationwide competitions and her short plays have been staged in several states. Max Sky (He/Him) (Actor: "The Morning After the Fall") is thrilled to return to the stage and put this spin on the Garden of Eden. His most recent credit was in The Nymphs last year as "Dionysus." Max is so grateful to Val and Ruby for including him in this phenomenal cast, representing a full rainbow of queer and ally identities. Whiskey Theatre Factory means home, and its uplifting of marginalized voices means the world to him. He hopes your mind opens a little bit more through this show and wants you to remember it was the apple that was the final straw...not all the gay s*x. Max dedicates his performance to the St. John Vianney Catholic School Class of 2011 xoxo.
