“Kaycee's Comet”

Ashley is an Orlando local who takes pride in exploring sexuality and womanhood in her writing. Her play "The Devil's Coda" was featured in Breakthrough Theatre's Original Play Festival exploring concepts of love and what it means to be family. She's very excited to also be showcasing her play "Fragments of a Woman's Heart" in Whiskey Theatre's "Party to Grief". In her free time, she likes to bake sweets and paint D&D minis.

“Finding Time”

Ken Preuss is a Florida-based writer who became a teacher to guarantee an audience 5 days a week. His plays have been produced in Australia, Canada, China, England, Germany, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, Thailand, and all 50 States.

“Looping”

Reese Twilla (he/him) is an actor/director/writer and alligator wrestler from Tennessee, who is delighted at every chance to write for Whiskey Theatre Factory! Reese is a new member of WTF's Artistic Collective, but has been writing and performing in WTF's Artist Salons and Plays In Progress series for quite some time. He has also been involved in multiple WTF productions, including playing Nick in "Everyone's Fine With Virginia Woolf", the Vampire in Bethany Dickens' original, "How It Gets In", and winning first place writing in Whiskey Theatre Factory's One Minute Play Competition. Reese is currently authoring multiple projects, with much of his passion being devoted to writing his ongoing D&D campaign of the past two years. He loves using writing to explore fantasy, relationships, and his own sexuality as a bisexual man, and is so thankful to have found such a welcoming community for artists in WTF.

“After Party”

Max has been directing in and around Central Florida for over 10 years. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida’s Dept. of Writing & Rhetoric, holding both a BA and MA in Rhetoric & Composition. Likewise, he is also currently pursuing an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the University of Idaho. Max was first invited to a Whiskey Theatre Factory Artist Salon back in June of 2022, presenting a section of a play he wrote with Liv Tyndall titled Sappho at Mytilene. He a lifelong student and practitioner of Greek drama, which he continues to produce under Project no.19 Performance Company. With Whiskey Theatre Factory, Max has been a director (“Love-All,” What's in the Basement, Honey?, 2023), playwright (“Asopao,” Still on Zoom, 2023; COMBINED, April 2024), stage manager (The Saints of West Orange County, 2024 Orlando Fringe), and actor (Bi Bi Bi, 2024). He holds such a deep admiration for developing new work from rising and returning theatre artists and firmly believes that a theatre that believes in community should always be a place to try something new. He is a supporter of multilingual writing and work that emphasizes the unique and individual taste of the artist. Feel free to meet Max at one of WTF’s regular Artist Salons!

“All the Colors”

Irene L. Pynn writes fantasy, science fiction, and horror. Her plays include Suture Bowl, I, Cockroach, Enter, Pursued by a Whale, The Train, How to Field Dress an Android, and several others. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild, and her work has been produced throughout the United States and abroad. Irene holds an MFA in writing from Seton Hill University and a PhD in Texts and Technology from the University of Central Florida. Her other publications include short stories, short plays, interactive plays, alternate reality games, and more.

“Creatures Like Us”

Bethany Dickens Assaf is a freelance playwright, dramaturg, and theatre artist, and the co-founder of Whiskey Theatre Factory in Orlando, Florida. Her work takes place at the intersection of gender and fandom. Almost 100 of her plays have been performed or read across the country including her twisty sci-fi play, The Consciousness, which has been performed at over 10 fringe festivals across the country and won Best Play at the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival. Most recently, her play The Vast of Darkness won the Critics' Choice for "Best Play - Drama" at the Orlando Fringe Festival.
